Breathe, Roll, and Stretch

This session combines breathwork and yin yoga with the unique benefits of myofascial therapy balls. We start by breathing on a therapy ball, which engages the parasympathetic realm to support a state of balance and rest. We’ll then move to rolling on the balls to relieve aches and pains and increase mobility and energy. Class wraps up with long-hold yin postures and a restorative savasana.

Dynamic Flow with Ashtanga Foundations

A steady, empowering flow inspired by the traditional Ashtanga sequence. This class blends mindful breath, intelligent movement, and accessible strength-building. You’ll learn the core elements of Ashtanga, sun salutations, standing postures, and key transitions without feeling overwhelmed. Perfect for all levels, especially students looking to build consistency, confidence, and functional strength.

Friday Flowdown

Welcome the weekend with this class meant to give you a little Friday night reboot! We’ll start with a vigorous vinyasa to help wring out any residual tension from the week, and then follow with some deep stretching and quieter work to tap into your rest, digest, and heal mode.

Functional Strength Training

Strength and flexibility are the yin and yang of physical fitness. Sunny Street is happy to offer this all-levels strength training class that works across muscle groups at each student's pace.  In these sessions, the body itself and the force of gravity provide the resistance needed to gently and gradually build strength.

Inward

Join us for this centering session of seated yin and restorative poses by candlelight, topped off with a guided meditation. This class is intended to help you soothe the senses, calm your nervous system, tune out the external world, and focus inward.

Mat Pilates

A little bit flow, a little bit core, and a lot of fun. Join us for this 45-minute express session of mat Pilates with a little splash of vinyasa added for good measure, and tackle your afternoon with a little extra spring in your step.

Power Flow

This vinyasa class focuses on faster-paced flowing from one pose to another, combined with pranayama and stretching. As this class type employs a higher degree of cardiovascular work and incorporates more advanced-level poses than some other vinyasa types, prior experience is recommended.

Restorative Stretch

Nurture yourself in this hour of gentle but deep stretching and restorative techniques geared toward soothing the mind and body in the way it was intended--as one integrated, cooperative system.

Restorative Yoga

A session of seated and reclining restorative poses and guided meditation set in a gentle, low-light environment, meant to center and soothe.  Stretching is gentle and intended for nurturing and healing.

Roll and Release

"Go deep" in a whole different way with this class structured around myofascial release using Tune-Up Fitness therapy balls of various sizes. Each session focuses on a different area of the body, but always centers on deep release to benefit mobility, the nervous system, and so much more.

Slow Flow

An exercise in mindful movement, this session incorporates slow vinyasa, a bit of yin, pranayama and meditation, all using the breath as a guide leading each yogi's way through their practice.  Some prior yoga experience is recommended. BYOI (bring your own intention).

Vinyasa

This all-levels class focuses on moderately-paced flowing from one pose to another, combined with pranayama and stretching work suited to each individual teacher's style, all culminating in a soothing savasana to integrate all you've just done on your mat.

This mix of yin and yang yoga practices blends to create a just-right strong and slow journey for yogis of all levels. Tune in and rejuvenate with this combination of slow flow and deep stretch followed by a brief guided meditation guided meditation.

Yoga Moves

This unique vinyasa class begins slow and picks up pace through a dynamic continuous flow of breathwork and movement. Highlighting the transitions between poses, the session offers students an opportunity to nurture and develop their own individual pathways and practice. Prior experience with flow-based yoga is recommended.

In this class, we will use a combination of shapes and flow sequences to tone muscle, boost flexibility, and support our overall functional fitness.

Club Peri

This monthly jam is for anyone currently doing the Perimenopause Hustle. We get togetehr once a month to share, learn a little (we’ll have a theme for each meeting), and engage in some practice to help nurture you through the transition.

This unique session features a 15-minute silent meditation sit as a central element, accentuated with other nurturing yoga modalities. We begin with gentle seated stretches and breathwork to set the table for our silence. We then move into meditation, and end class with a gentle restorative shape and savasana. We invite you to join us for centering, stillness, and the beauty of silence.

Imbolc Workshop

Join Olivia Shoffner to ease into the balance between light and darkness that exists during this time of year.  We will spend our time understanding the cyclical nature of the seasons and learning more about Imbolc, the halfway point between Yule and the Spring Equinox.  There will be a short meditation, a 15 minute restorative yoga session, journal prompts, and light discussion.  This will be an intentional, quiet time to reflect on the holiday season that has passed and look forward to the growth that will come with Spring.

Sound Awareness for Health, Healing, and Harmony: A Workshop

Join “musical medicine” practitioner Amon Sherriff in this unique opportunity to both learn and experience how sound and vibration are used to promote deep relaxation to create healing and harmony in the body.

Amon will discuss tones and frequencies and their unique and individual benefits, and share methods for including them in your self-care regimen.

Wrap up the session with an immersive sound bath from Amon, and take home your own chime to jumpstart your personal sound therapy journey.

Self Study Hall

“Svadhyaya” is the yogic term for “self-reflection or “self-study.” This unique event gives you an opportunity to come to the studio and do just that.

Journal, read a book, practice your crochet—choose any activity that gives you some quiet space to find a quiet and meditative state.

No need to join for the whole time—the door will be open, so come on in and leave anytime. Registration is still required, though.

An Introduction to Sattva Kriya Yoga

“Begin and end with stillness.”

That’s one of the foundational philosophies of Sattva Kriya Yoga, a practice that uses a combination of breathwork and meditative movement in specific ways to bring mind, body, and spirit into an eternally balanced state.

Andrew DeVries, RYT-500, leads this afternoon immersion; he’ll offer a brief introduction to this form of yoga, a bit of philosophy and context, and then guide participants through a practice so that you can embody Sattva Kriya, because to experience the practice is to understand it best.

Dive with Stacy into this multi-faceted science and practicum on pranayama. We'll take some time to look at the fascinating science of the breath and its impact on the brain, the nervous system, the endocrine system, and so much more. We'll intersperse various breathing techniques throughout the session, bringing real life experience into each conversation.
